Attractions.io, a leading creator of mobile visitor apps, has worked with Camel Creek in Cornwall to improve the visitor experience with a new app.

Attractions.io is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Camel Creek, a popular family adventure park in Cornwall, UK, to create a new visitor app. This has been designed to improve the guest experience, reduce close contact and enable the park to follow social distancing guidelines.

The new app launched on 26 October and includes features to help guests plan a safe and fun day out, such as interactive mapping, location-based messaging and push notifications. The attraction is now able to communicate with guests before, during and after their visit, providing special offers and the latest news and information about the park.

A safe and fun guest experience

Thanks to the app, visitors won’t need printed materials such as paper maps, which helps the park save on resources and benefits the environment. It also features mobile food ordering as a way of reducing person to person contact in the wake of COVID-19. Guests can now order, pay for and collect their food through the app, reducing queues and physical contact points.

The park is also able to push out social distancing updates and messages to guests through the app, reassuring them that measures are in place to keep them safe. The app also highlights hand sanitiser points on the virtual map.

Camel Creek has several plans in place to improve the guest experience, in addition to its investment in technology with Attractions.io. For instance, it is launching new safari lodges next year.

Keith Thompson, Sales & Marketing Manager at Camel Creek says, “We chose to work with Attractions.io for their industry experience, and because they could deliver a platform that met all our needs now but can also grow with us – for instance, we can add features like virtual queuing in the future. We’re confident the app will play a key role in keeping our visitors safe and improving their experience at the park”

Mark Locker, Founder & CEO of Attractions.io adds, “Visitor attractions have a number of challenges moving forward, and visitor apps can address those by improving the visitor experience and delivering real business value that is 100% measurable, bringing new revenue opportunities and better operational flexibility.”

During the summer, Attractions.io produced a new report, exploring the changing needs and expectations of guests following the COVID-19 pandemic.
