BALPPA to host trade expo at Drayton Manor

BALPPA, the British Association of Leisure, Parks, Piers and Attractions, is staging a trade expo at Drayton Manor on Thursday 23 April 2020.

The British Association of Leisure, Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a free to attend trade expo at Drayton Manor on Thursday 23 April. The event will feature more than 30 exhibitors, including suppliers of essential products and services.

Exhibitors will be demonstrating a wide range of solutions for the leisure, play, theme park and attractions industry. For example, food & beverage, ticketing solutions, lost and found software, insurance and mobile apps. There will also be ride manufacturers in attendance, as well as designers and builders of a variety of attractions.

Attendees will be able to connect with companies that provide marketing support, cleaning services and maintenance solutions, alongside digital analytics.

Professional development opportunities

While the event will include many opportunities for networking, it will also feature a packed schedule of educational sessions too. The seminar programme will include a range of session on topics such as sustainability, cyber-security, accessibility and more.

Attendees will be able to benefit from a panel session on the future of the attractions industry, where they will hear from experts in the field, as well as having the opportunity to ask questions or discuss specific industry matters.

Finally, the day will finish with BALPPA’s annual awards ceremony, which includes recognition for visitor attraction of the year, employee of excellence, family attraction of the year, inclusivity, and excellence in food and beverage.

BALPPA has over 300 members, including much-loved attractions such as the London Eye, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Madame Tussauds, Alton Towers and Thorpe Park. It represents the interests of the UK’s commercial leisure parks, piers, zoos and visitor attractions.

The association runs more than 40 events for its members every year, from educational seminars and evening receptions to regional conferences. These events are designed to encourage best practice, knowledge sharing and networking.
