Barco future museum eBook

Barco, the technology company focusing on innovative visualization solutions for different applications, has announced the launch of a new e-book for the museum sector, called How to future-proof your museum.

Barco is proud to launch a new eBook exploring the future of museums and the trends that can transform the museum visitor experience. How to future-proof your museum looks at how technology can help institutions to compete with streaming and gaming services, how they can use recycled architecture and also how they can boost attendance figures by using social media.

Museums of the future

With this new eBook, Barco has taken a closer look at three current social and technological trends and examined how they can benefit the museum market. These are streaming and gaming, recycled architecture and social media. One aspect that plays a key role in all three of these trends is visualisation.

The eBook shows how museums can take their visitors on a visual journey with creative video content, or bring displays to life with projection mapping on unique locations. It details how creating visually attractive experiences can give museums the edge.

Barco has a complete projection and display portfolio with a solution for everyone, and can help to future-proof the museum experience, creating memorable and visually stunning experiences. The eBook is available to download here.

Creating memorable experiences

Barco recently provided the projection technology for Sally Corporation’s Sesame Street Dark Ride at PortAventura World. At the first Sesame Street dark ride in Europe, guests enjoy a six-minute ride featuring life-sized animatronics of their favourite characters.

The company also worked on Vivid Sydney, a show which delighted locals and visitors alike in Sydney, Australia. Barco provided its cutting edge projectors to help bring the largest festival of light, music and ideas in the Southern Hemisphere to life.
