Barco,Ā the technology company focusing on innovative visualization solutions for different applications, announces Barco Insights at ISE, the first IoT platform for projectors.
Barco is pleased to be exhibiting this week at ISE 2020 in Amsterdam, where it is unveiling a new cloud-based internet of things solution for enhanced projector management. The connectivity platform, Barco Insights, will enable and streamline remote monitoring and serviceability.
The goal of this innovative new product is to increase efficiency and reliability, as well as flexibility. Users will benefit from cloud-based storage of usage data and light-source run-times, meaning they no longer have to do time-consuming manual data collection.

Barco Insights includes live dashboards where operators can monitor real-time information on the projector’s operating and environmental conditions, enabling them to discover and troubleshoot issues more easily. The platform can be accessed securely on any device with an internet connection. Furthermore, there is no complicated setup to go through, no local host PC and no software to install.
The company will be rolling out this new solution throughout 2020. The basic features will automatically be embedded in the UDM projectors for the first two years of usage, a new 15K lumens version of which is being launched at the show this week.
āIt has enabled us to very quickly get a snapshot of the usage on the entire fleet. We find this really useful when it comes to ensuring we keep our stock at even usage levels. It enables our teams to spend their precious time on more important tasks, and eventually, it will also save us money in the long run,ā says Craig Lawrence, Video & Projects director for SFL Group.
Attendees at ISE 2020 from 11 – 14 February can find out more from the Barco team at the Whisper Suite (D503).
Barco is also introducing an extended LED portfolio, with five new models addressing a range of indoor LED applications.
