Interactive ride technology company, Alterface, will be exhibiting at the China Attractions Expo CAE 2017 in Beijing.

The fair is expected to welcome over 35,000 amusement and attractions industry professionals.

The announcement reflects the company’s continued commitment to the Asian attractions market.

Indeed, Alterface has already consolidated its presence in China with an office in the capital and an operational branch in Xiamen.

“We see the Chinese market evolving very rapidly and eagerly,” confirmed Founder and CEO, Ben Cornet. “After having witnessed the debut of interactivity in the parks, with projects which were not that successful mainly due to the lack of experience, we see now interest in higher quality projects which are more accurate and feature strong concepts.”

A recent example aimed at families is the company’s interactive Rapid River ride in Tokyo’s Yomiuriland. Riders race along in a floating noodle cup as they try to defeat the evil ‘kettle man’. He keeps appearing on screens above them and threatening them with warm water.

Attractions already in place in China include LEGO Kingdom Quest at the LEGO Discovery Centre in Shanghai.

According to Alterface, many more openings are already planned for 2017 and beyond.

“It is a great pleasure for us to bring our experience and know-how to the table and share them with our partners to create a solution that perfectly fits expectations of today’s and tomorrow’s visitors,” added Cornet.

Meet Alterface at Booth #1052 at China Attractions Expo (CAE 2017) Beijing, March 18th-20th at the Beijing China National Convention Centre.

Elsewhere, Alterface dark ride expertise provided the video targeting system for crowd-pleaser, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis.

The company has also reinvented the classic laser tag experience for Hub Zero in Dubai with Gears of War: Laser Siege.
