Blooloop50 Theme Park Influencer List 2020

We are proud to reveal this year’s blooloop 50 Theme Park Influencer list, recognising and celebrating 50 of the most creative and inspirational people from across the theme park business over the last year.

The blooloop 50 Theme Park Influencer List, run in association with Gateway Ticketing Systems, a world leader in admission control and ticketing software for the attractions industry, has been announced.

Launched in 2018, the blooloop 50 Theme Park Influencer list has now entered its third year. 2020 has been a challenging year for the global attractions industry as it adapts to the unique challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. At this difficult time, it is more important than ever to celebrate those individuals who are driving the industry forward.

The full blooloop Theme Park Influencer list 2020 is here.

Nominations opened in July and closed in August. During this time, blooloop readers from around the world told us about the inspirational people who they believed deserve recognition.

Leading by example

Once the nomination period closed, our panel of judges had quite a task to narrow the excellent submissions down to a final 50. This year, the judges were Peter Wolf, Brady MacDonald, Christian Aaen, Denise Hatcher, Lesley Morisetti, Owen Ralph, Phil Taylor, Rachel Read and Wonwhee Kim.

2020 has certainly been a challenging year for theme parks around the world, with widespread closures and cuts. The theme park community has had to adapt to new challenges and different ways of working, all while keeping visitors entertained and engaged.

This is a resilient business. Over the last six months, we have seen a huge amount of creativity and innovation, as well as the drive of those within the industry to rise to the challenge. It is this passion for the sector and this determination that we are celebrating with this year’s Blooloop 50 Theme Park Influencer list.

You can also see previous winners here, from 2018 and 2019.

This year, we also launched the first-ever Blooloop 50 Museum Influencer list, celebrating exceptional people in the global museum community.

Thank you

Thanks to everyone who took the time to nominate. Throughout the crisis, we have seen people step up and support their peers, friends and colleagues across the theme park community in many different ways.

As we recover from the impacts of the pandemic, the creativity and innovation that our Blooloop 50 winners demonstrate will help the sector continue to achieve great things, in the face of unprecedented challenges.

If you didn’t see your nomination on the list this year, don’t forget to nominate them in 2021!
