Brogent Technologies, Inc., a leading manufacturer of media-based attractions, has supplied its fly theatre technology to a new attraction at Mall of America, Minnesota.

FlyOver America ‘flies’ riders over some of America’s most iconic landmarks using the latest in flight ride technology.

The attraction has been created by Stephen Geddes and Andrew Strang, owners of Soaring Attractions LP, the same team behind the highly successful FlyOver Canada experience in Vancouver which has welcomed over one million visitors to date.

This new incarnation has raised the bar even higher with a budget of $20m.

“It’s truly a unique opportunity to fully experience all the U.S. has to offer, from remote hidden treasures to well-known national landmarks, ” commented Strang.

The media content for FlyOver America was produced by Soaring Attractions’ team of experts including former Disney imagineer Rick Rothschild. The creative team worked for over a year filming at key locations across the US using a state-of-the-art 6k resolution camera mounted on the front of a helicopter.

Brogent’s brand new i-Ride system features 61 seats mounted on nine gondolas on three levels, each gondola fixed on separate motion bases that can be independently operated.

The experience features wind, scents and mist effects to further enhance the sensation of flight.

Brogent, based in Taiwan, creates a range of media-based attractions including interactive dark rides and immersive tunnels.
