A design competition has been launched for the redevelopment of the Ross Pavilion site in Edinburgh.

The Ross Pavilion International Design Competition intends to regenerate the well known site currently occupied by the Ross Bandstand.  This prime location is situated below Edinburgh Castle in the UNESCO World Heritage site.

Initially Architect-led teams are sought to submit details of proposed team and experience.  Five or more finalists will be selected to progress to the second stage in which they will be asked to “create concept designs for a new landmark Pavilion, a visitor centre with café, and subtle updates and improvements to the listed Gardens”.

The deadline for the first stage submissions for the £25m Ross Pavilion and Gardens project is March 13, 2017.
