CAVU Designwerks welcomes Nathan Jones as Chief Operating Officer

CAVU Designwerks, the media-based attractions specialist, has appointed industry veteran Nathan Jones to the role of Chief Operating Officer.

CAVU Designwerks is proud to announce that Nathan Jones has joined the team as Chief Operating Officer. As a senior member of the executive team, Jones will report to CAVU’s CEO, Peter R. Schnabel.

Schnabel is proud to welcome Jones to this newly created role, saying: “We are excited to have Nathan as part of the CAVU team. He compliments our strong performance-oriented culture, and we believe his impressive reputation for execution and achieving results makes him the right choice for ensuring operational excellence across the company as we evolve into our next stage of company growth.”

Strong leadership experience

Jones has a strong background in the attractions industry and brings over 22 years of leadership experience to his new role. He is skilled in creating operational efficiency, and his most recent post was as President, Park Attractions at WhiteWater. In this position with the industry leader in waterpark design, Jones was responsible for operations, finance, and project delivery.

He has also worked for other respected companies in the attractions industry, such as Vekoma and Brogent Technologies. In this new role, Jones will use his executive management skills to drive innovative solutions and industry-leading operational practices.

Industry veteran

In addition to his experience with leading attractions companies, Jones also serves on the Board of Directors for the International Board of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) and has recently taken up the position of Vice President of the TEA Executive Committee. He obtained a Bachelor of Technology, Management Degree, from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, as well as MBA degrees from Cornell University and Queen’s University.

CAVU Designwerks recently unveiled the industry’s first intelligent trackless dark ride vehicle. It presented the self-driving vehicle at IAAPA Expo 2019 in Orlando.
