CAVU Designwerks, the media-based attractions specialist, will be presenting a new interactive ride, Quest, in a digital launch this October.

CAVU Designwerks is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of its new product, which is themed entertainment’s first walkthrough ride. Quest will be revealed at a digital launch on 21 October 2020. This new ride will raise the standard of walkthrough attractions in the industry.

“With this attraction, we wanted to reimagine what it means to interact with an experience, by combining the agency of a walkthrough, the mechanical and theatrical elements of a dark ride, and new modes of interactivity using advance technology,” says Mark Stepanian, Chief Experience Officer for CAVU.

Introducing Quest

Quest aims to provide an attraction that is small, modular and flexible, and is able to deliver on a compressed schedule at a lower price. It is also ideal for a post-pandemic world, as it is able to spread guests out while still maintaining good throughput.

With its latest product, CAVU tells a compelling story in a different way from traditional ride systems, providing something new and exciting for guests. While vehicle-based experiences are prevalent in the industry, the company wanted to create a new kind of immersive simulation experience without the need for vehicles.

Quest allows visitors to get closer to the environment for a more intimate storytelling experience.

“To reach the widest possible applications, we have approached this attraction using a modular approach,” says Stepanian “Where designers can look through a range of “menu” options that include mechanical equipment types, visual effects, scents, and more.”

More information on CAVU’s latest innovation will be revealed at the live launch on 21 October. To register, please click here.

CAVU Designwerks, alongside DreamCraft Attractions, also recently announced that it will be hosting a special session on interactive technology at next week’s blooloop V-Expo.
