Leading global audiovisual company, Christie, is showcasing its latest technology at InfoComm China between 12-14th April 2017.
The company’s display at Booth EB1-01 called “The Space Between” delivers a highly interactive experience to attendees of the show.
The showcase uses Christie®Boxer 4K30 3DLP® projectors and Christie Pandoras Box media and show control servers and a 10 metre wide screen to demonstrate the integration of Chrisite’s projection technologies and advanced image processing systems.
Attendees could experience Augmented Reality (AR) using their mobile phones to scan contents using a specially developed app.
The Interactive Walkway used two overhead Christie Roadster HD20K-J 3DLP® projectors to create interactive floor projections along the walkway using specially-designed real-time tracking ID-tags.
“This highly innovative and visually-arresting display is not merely aimed at generating the wow factor; it is a practical demonstration that Christie has the right tools and know-how to combine our various technologies to offer a unique, memorable and interactive experience,” said Jason Pei, Deputy General Manager, Christie China.
Christie’s Pandoras Box media servers are popular as a cost-effective turnkey solution that can project onto any shape and surface. They are used for live events, projection mapping and multi-media shows. Version 6.0 of the server includes editable meshes and warps, UV map adjustments and live canvas masking. In addition there is a multi-user mode. This allows operators to work on tasks simultaneously.
The company has also redesigned Widget Designer with an HTML5 user interface. It includes CSS Styles so animation and transitions are now available for all pages and widgets. Pandoras Box 6.0 and Widget Designer 6.0 are recent winners of theInAVation Technology for Entertainment and Live Video Award. They allow for fully customizable control interfaces.
Previously at InfoComm China 2016, Christie installed a large-scale projection mapping installation on a 12-metre wide wristwatch shaped screen.
