Cinergy launch escape room at Midland cinema texas

Cinergy Entertainment ramps up the cinema entertainment experience with an all-new escape room and an expanded game floor at its Midland, Texas, venue.

Cinergy is expanding amenities at its Midland location. The company has just announced the opening of escape rooms and a full service bar. The complex will also undergo an expansion of its game room floor – with the arrival of over 30 new interactive video games.

“We are extremely excited to introduce the escape rooms to our Midland location,” says Traci Hoey, Director of Marketing and Sales for Cinergy. “This will truly create a unique entertainment experience for our guests.”

Escape rooms are physical adventure games – players have to solve a series of puzzles within the space in a set time limit in order to escape.  Increasingly IP owners of titles like Tomb Raider and Pokemon and  are exploring escape room formats as another way to connect with their audience.  Currently three titles are on offer at Midland: Diamond Heist, Haunting and Zombie Hour.

Premium seating is key

Cinergy in Midland has also focused on the comfort of the cinema experience. As part of the refurbishment they have installed spacious electric recliner seating at the venue. Each seat has an attached swivel table and, while guests will still order food and drink in the lobby, their choices will now be delivered directly to their seats.

“We’ve seen success with our premium seating at our Copperas Cove and Odessa locations,” says Jamie Benson, Cinergy’s co-founder and executive Vice President. “So we wanted to expand the luxury seating experience to our Midland location.

The lobby has also been remodelled with a full service bar and lounge.

Cinergy Entertainment Group, Inc. owns three cinema entertainment centres in Texas, with 29 screens and 18 lanes of bowling. Four further locations are under development, which will offer 38 screens and 71 lanes of bowling. Last year the company announced plans for a new 90,000 square foot entertainment complex in Edinburg, Texas.

The company is seeking to expand the cinema experience. Dine-in facilities offer a range of alcoholic and soft drinks alongside a range of restaurant-quality food choices. Aside from cinema, the centres offer a range of interactive games and other amenities – bowling, billiards, laser tag, and ropes courses.
