$4.8m Sport Land Entertainment Complex to Open in Costa Rica in 2017

Sport Land, a $4.8 million sport and entertainment complex is set to open in May 2017 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

The 41, 000 m² development will focus on sports and family games, with a deliberate move away from electronic entertainment in favour of physical activity.

The three zones planned are:

Adventure: Paintball, Ice Skating, Wall Climbing, Skate park, Canopy, Roller Coaster, Artificial Snow, Helicopter rides and Scuba Diving

Sports: Basketball, Soccer, Golf, Beach Soccer, Beach Volleyball and Tennis

Families: Food Court, Horseback Riding, Go Karts, Mini Golf, Flight Simulator, Water Slides and a Pirate Ship.

The first stage of the project will open to the public in May with nine attractions.  The second and third stages will be completed by 2018 with a total of 20 attractions.

Great Parks are managing the project’s construction.

Sport Land will be open to members only at a cost of around $1, 000 a year in presale.
