Connect&GO publishes white paper on virtual queuing and crowd management

Connect&GO, a leader in RFID solutions for the leisure, sports and attractions industry, has launched a new white paper exploring virtual queuing and crowd management solutions for the COVID-era.

Connect&GO is pleased to announce that it has published a new white paper entitled Virtual Queuing and Crowd Management solution for a COVID-era reality. This shows operators how virtual queuing can help them to reopen safely in the wake of the pandemic.

While many are looking forward to visiting their favourite attractions once again, extra health and safety routines need to be put in place, such as limits on capacity and physical distancing, in order to keep guests safe and prevent the spread of the virus.

Virtual queuing

Virtual queuing is an ideal way for attractions to encourage physical distancing. Visitors simply book a virtual spot in the queue for the ride or attraction they want to go on and are then free to enjoy the rest of the park before being notified by an alert on their phone when it is their turn. This means that the are not exposed to crowded queues and will have a more enjoyable visit.

Connect&GO’s flexible solution can be implemented anywhere. In addition to the benefits for guests, it often leads to an increase in spend-per-head, as visitors can browse merchandise and buy refreshments instead of being stuck in a long line.

Last month, Connect&GO also launched a new physical distancing and contact tracing solution called Safeband, designed to help attractions reopen while sticking to physical distancing guidelines.

Safebands use a combination of BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), Haptic Vibration, LED (light-emitting diode) and NFC (near-field communication) technologies to trigger alerts when two people wearing Safebands come within less than 2 metres of each other and also includes a contact tracing feature.
