Dataton WATCHOUT: Projection Mapping at Staro Riga 2014 Festival of Light

Dataton’s flagship WATCHOUT multi-display production and presentation system has been used to provide projection mapping on four buildings during the Staro Riga 2014 Festival of Light, Latvia.

System integrator Solaris supplied WATCHOUT systems and hardware from the renowned Swedish show control developer and manufacturer, as well as BARCO projectors for projection mapping displays on the Astor Riga Hotel, Congress Centre, St Peter's Church and the Academy of Arts.

Solarisvideo’s Anton Rodionov explained that the company was brought in on the project as a result of their many years of experience working on architectural projection mapping shows worldwide.  “We have used WATCHOUT for different-scale events and appreciate the user-friendly interface.  The flexibility, scalability and high stability in performance give a sense of confidence which leads to a comfortable and easy working process. Our project experience in Riga became a perfect example of all those qualities."
