Dubai was brought to a halt on Saturday by a gang of ferocious dinosaurs.
Residents and visitors alike watched open-mouthed as the convoy of megabeasts made its way through the city, escorted by Dubai police. Despite top-level security, one of the dinosaurs was reported missing and a hunt for the fugitive has been launched! Anyone spotting it is asked to report their sighting on social media using the hashtag #SpotTheDino.
The dinosaurs are part of a group of sixty-nine state-of-the-art animatronic creatures created by leading Japanese company Kokoro, which are now safely installed at IMG Worlds of Adventure, slated to open early next year.
The world’s largest indoor theme park, which occupies over 1.5 million square feet, is now in its final stage of development. It is Dubai’s first mega themed entertainment destination and has the capacity to welcome 20, 000 visitors a day.
Designed to appeal to both local residents and international tourists, the complex will include thrill rides and attractions based on Cartoon Network characters, MARVEL Super Heroes and , of course, dinosaurs. Other offerings include themed retail stores, a variety of dining venues plus a 12-screen Novo cinema.
