Disney has revealed new images and details of the new Disney Skyliner gondola transportation system planned for Walt Disney World in Florida.

This new gondola system will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four resort hotels- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and the proposed 15th Disney Vacation Club property, Disney’s Riviera Resort.

The skyliner will be made up of more than 6 miles of cable.

The system’s hub will be at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort where guests will be able to transfer for different destinations. Some of the gondolas will feature images of Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse and Goofy as though they’ve come along for the ride.

Disney has yet to announce an opening date for the Skyliner.

In January, Carter Electric won a $3.8m contract to construct the electrical infrastructure for the Disney Skyliner gondola transportation system planned for Walt Disney World in Florida.
