Drone Interactive, a specialist in drone-based attractions, is adapting to the impact of COVID-19 and expresses solidarity with colleagues and friends in the industry.

Much of the attractions industry has been affected by the global coronavirus pandemic, however, Drone Interactive is busy planning for the future and looking forward to a more positive situation once the crisis has passed. The company would also like to express solidarity with the rest of the attractions sector during this unprecedented situation.

With parks across Europe closed to the public, the company expects to see a postponement of investments by its customers in the short term. Despite this, it is confident that the sector will bounce back, partly thanks to government assistance.

“Once this period of uncertainty is behind us, we are confident that we will resume activity in the second half of the year,” said a spokesperson for Drone Interactive.

New ways of working

The Drone Interactive team has now adapted to working remotely and has quickly reorganised its working procedures to minimise disruption. The company is confident that the impact of this change on its development plan will be limited.

While it prepares for activity to restart at attractions across Europe, it is working on the development of a new cleaning process, in order to ensure that its products are thoroughly decontaminated between players. The current situation has highlighted the need for a stringent cleaning process, which the company will now adopt as standard going forward.

Drone Interactive’s financial partners, such as BPI France, BNP Paribas and Caisse d’Epargne Rhone Alpes have confirmed their ongoing support for the company. In addition to this, Government aid will limit the impact of the pandemic.

While the timescale of Drone Interactive’s projects is likely to be extended due to the situation, its ambitions remain unchanged. The company is looking forward to supporting the attractions industry once business begins to return to normal.

Earlier this year, Drone Interactive announced that it is now accepting European orders for its unique drone flying attraction, ARCADRONE, and introduced a special discount for the first orders. It has now announced that this offer will be extended to the end of the year.
