DXB Entertainments is preparing to launch new thrill rides at Motiongate and Bollywood Parks, and over 1,300 hotel rooms at Legoland Hotel.

“We are currently in the process of rolling out many exciting surprises with the launch of our new rides and the reopening of our theme parks,” said Mohamed Almulla, CEO of DXB Entertainments.

“We are working closely with our partners to promote Dubai Parks and Resorts as a preferred family staycation destination,” he added.

According to Almulla, DXBE will open 10 new rides in Bollywood Parks Dubai and two new rides in Motiongate Dubai (via Trade Arabia).

DXBE started work on the new attractions during the suspension of operations between March and September in response to COVID-19.

“During the closure of operations from March to September 2020, we have focused on the enhancement plan which includes addition of 10 new rides in Bollywood Parks Dubai and two new rides in Motiongate Dubai,” he added.

“I am pleased to announce that with the latest addition of thrill rides, Motiongate Dubai will become the region’s largest theme park by number of rollercoasters.”

The operator is also expanding the Lionsgate Zone at Motiongate Dubai with two new coasters inspired by John Wick and Now You See Me, launching in early 2021.

“The expansion to Lionsgate Zone will launch in early 2021 and feature the world’s first theme park ride inspired by the popular John Wick franchise and Now You See Me-inspired roller coaster.

“Our destination will have a total of three world record thrill rides by early 2021.”

In addition, DXBE is preparing to open the region’s first Legoland Hotel in December. The accommodation will have over 1,300 rooms, and will complement Legoland Dubai and Legoland Water Park.

“In line with our stated hotel strategy to deliver over 1,300 hotel rooms to the destination, we are getting ready to open the region’s first Legoland Hotel,” said Almulla.

“This will complete our 360-degree Legoland Dubai Resort offering, with the hotel complementing the existing Legoland Dubai theme park and Legoland Water Park.”

DXBE partially reopened Dubai Parks and Resorts in September.
