ECA2, creator and producer of the world's most spectacular multimedia shows, has announced the opening of a new night time show – “Eastern Sunrise” – at Rizhao, Shandong Province, China.

Working with the Rizhao City Construction Investment Co. Ltd (RCCI), ECA2 delivered their new show in record time.  From the first phone call to opening night took only 12 months – a feat achieved thanks to the creative efforts and expertise of ECA2 and the flexibility, reactivity and professionalism of RCCI.

Rizhao was built to host some of the Beijing 2008 Olympic’s water events held and the city has welcomed more than 40 world-class aquatic sporting events such as the 2013 Laser Radial Sailing World Championship and the 11th Chinese National Games in 2009. “Eastern Sunrise” is the flagship project of a development initiative that aims to breathe fresh life into this world-class watersports park.

ECA2, experts in creating shows to engage a Chinese audience,  were inspired by the local culture and landscape to produce a story of two star-crossed lovers projected onto a vast, water screen and sail sculptures and accompanied by a rousing sound track.  The production combines state-of-the-art multimedia effects such as 3D videomapping, Wave Water Screens, jets, lasers, geysers, shooting flames, lights and fireworks to create a spectacular and immersive show.

Over the past 30 years, ECA2 has produced more than 60 major spectacles around the world, notably the “Big-O show” for the 2012 Yeosu International Expo, and the THEA award winning “Wings of Time” in Singapore and “Fountain of Dreams” in Wuyishan (Fujian).  The company recently opened “Lake of Illusions” in OCT's Shanghai Happy Valley.
