Entertainment Design Corporation, the award-winning entertainment designer for branded attractions, experiential retail, and live shows, will now be known as Railton Entertainment Design (RED).

Entertainment Design Corporation (EDC) is pleased to announce that it is rebranding as Railton Entertainment Design (RED). This is under the leadership of renowned designer Jeremy Railton and industry veteran Scott Ault. The new name honours the legacy of Railton, the award-winning art designer and production designer.

After 25 years in the business as EDC, the company will continue its track record of excellence in entertainment design firm for location-based entertainment under the name of RED. This new collaboration from two industry leaders will concentrate on out of home entertainment, such as theme parks, attractions, brand activations, destination resorts and more.

An award-winning designer

Railton is has been honoured with several awards during his career, including an Emmy. He is also a THEA Lifetime Achievement honouree.

Speaking about the move, he says, “I am beyond ecstatic over the excitement and support from the industry and my peers about this next stage of my adventure. Scott is an amazing creative business partner, and immediately upon shaking hands to form our partnership, great things have been happening and new projects coming forward.”

Ault has also had an impressive career in the industry to date and joins RED from Checkmate Development Group where he was Managing Partner, focused on IP and Licensing for the out of home sector. Before this, he was also instrumental in several 20th Century Fox World projects and Lotte World’s Undersea Kingdom, as well as multiple Nickelodeon branded parks in China as President and CEO of Rethink Leisure and Entertainment.

“There is no doubt Jeremy is a creative genius. The opportunity to lead projects in partnership with one of the Themed Entertainment Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award winners is incredible,” says Ault.

As Senior Partner, Railton will be the overall creative lead for the company. Ault will take on the role of Managing Partner and will be responsible for leading day to day operations.

The RED team will be attending IAAPA Expo 2019 in Orlando, which takes place from 18 – 22 November and meetings can be arranged by emailing Tracy Balsz, VP Business Development.
