Embed showcases new Mobile Wallet

Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, will be showcasing the Mobile Wallet at the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Show (SEA) 2020.

Embed is pleased to announce that it is exhibiting at SEA 2020, where it will be highlighting the new Mobile Wallet alongside several other innovative products. The event takes place from 3 – 5 February in Riyadh.

The Mobile Wallet is a virtual game card that guest can add to the Apple Wallet or Google Play, allowing them to seamlessly play games. It acts the same way as a game card, however, it enables customers to tap and reload without leaving the game as it sits in their mobile wallet. It also means that operators can get an insight into customer behaviour, usage and spending habits.

“We’re very excited to be the first and only FEC cashless business solution to offer the Mobile Wallet,” says Renee Welsh, CEO, Solutions Group. “And we are excited to be able to showcase this breakthrough to the attendees at the SEA 2020 show.

“This development and offer make Embed the only non-banking finance-payment or loyalty-card business and brand card that sits in the mobile wallet. It enables any business currently using the Embed TOOLKIT system (Kiosk, game cards, smartTOUCH readers and range of business solutions) to simply add the Mobile Wallet (Mobile Portal) module to their existing business solution and offering it to their customers.”

The Mobile Wallet

This innovative new solution was in development behind the scenes during 2019, before launching at IAAPA Expo in Orlando last year. Embed worked closely with a well-known FEC on the project, alongside its development teams as well as Apple and Google. This work meant that they could ensure compliance approval for Embed’s smartTOUCH readers.

“This significant breakthrough is a result of a collaborative effort with our partners and customers (the Operators, Apple and Google). We listen and work very closely with our clients, drawing inspiration from other industries, monitoring technological advancement and closely research consumer behaviour to deliver this end-result, and ultimately enabling business owners to increase profitability” says Andy Welsh, CTO, Embed.

Tap and reload

Thanks to the Mobile Wallet, operators can encourage repeat visits and customer loyalty by bundling offers. It is also easy to use, as it is cloud-based rather than requiring users to download an app. They can simply tap and reload anytime, anywhere, meaning that they don’t need to waste time waiting in line. From the operator point-of-view, this leads to greater revenue with less manpower and fewer hardware costs.

Customer information is protected by advanced security and encrypted mobile technology. There is no worry about losing game cards, and no risk for operators.

Guests purchase and register the physical game card in the Mobile Portal, either online or at a kiosk. Following this, the Mobile Portal will show a virtual card featuring Card Balance Check and Ticket balance. Then guests can simply add this virtual card to their Mobile Wallet and start playing. They can even redeem prizes through the Mobile Wallet.

The Embed team will be at booth #1D11.

The company also recently announced that it had provided cashless solutions for Winter Wonderland in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
