Europa-Park’s Roland Mack Welcomed Into Germany’s ‘Hall of Fame’

News

Roland Mack, founder and owner of Europa-Park at Rust near Freiburg, has been welcomed into a Hall of Fame that recognises family businesses in Germany.

The honour is presented annually by the country’s leading business and finance newspaper, the Handelsblatt.

The jury described Mack as a “visionary entrepreneur” and said he was a role model for society, setting the standard for visionary, sustainable and modern corporate management.

Mack founded Europa-Park in 1975. Since then the park has gone from strength to strength, opening its first hotel in 1995 and welcoming 5 million visitors in 2015.

In 2012, Mack became the first German president of IAAPA.
