Fantawild Holdings, a leading one-stop solution provider in the theme park industry, is celebrating a win at the recent Thea Awards for Qu Yuan at Jingzhou Fantawild Oriental Heritage Park.
Fantawild has announced that Qu Yuan at Jingzhou Fantawild Oriental Heritage Park has been recognised at the 27th annual Thea Awards, held on 19 November by the TEA. The popular theatre attraction, which features live performances and special effects, won the award for Outstanding Achievement.
Qu Yuan has been a hit with both international and domestic visitors to Jingzhou Fantawild Oriental Heritage Park, where it is one of the flagship attractions.
Qu Yuan brings heritage to life
This unique attraction uses live performances to bring the classic poems ‘Li Sao’, ‘Jiu Ge’ and ‘Tian Wen’ to life, accompanied by stage effects and the latest technology. It uses the poems by Qu Yuan as inspiration and uses the life of the poet himself as the plot.
The epic tale is created through ink wash paintings that are animated with special effects, exploring the life of the poet and Chu culture to create an innovative cultural tourism attraction. This is illustrative of Fantawild’s goal of using modern technology to celebrate the traditional stories and culture of China, communicating them with a wider audience.
Last month, Fantawild Holdings also announced that it is investing in three new theme parks in Shaoxing and another new theme park in the Wudang Mountains. Meanwhile, it has started construction on Yingtan Fantawild Park, also known as the Chinese Historical and Cultural Heritage Resort, in Yingtan, Jiangxi, and a new animation theme park, known as Fantawild Shangqiu Animation Theme Park, in Shangqiu, China.
In the summer, blooloop spoke to Fantawild Holding’s Executive President, Daisy Shang, about the company’s continued growth, as well as the impact of the global pandemic.
