Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has launched a year-long educational programme called ‘Coaster Lab’, an edutainment initiative for schools that is the first of its kind in the region.
Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is pleased to announce the launch of a new, year-long educational initiative, ‘Coaster Lab’. This is designed to get pupils to learn about physics, engineering and technology through the lens of roller coasters.
The Coaster Lab programme is just one of several activities scheduled in the run up to the theme park’s 10th birthday this November. The idea behind the initiative is to inspire a love of science in the students and to engage them in the subject matter in a memorable way.
The science of roller coasters
The programme is aimed at primary and middle school students, who will enjoy a full day of activities at the theme park. They will have the chance to build their own ride replicas as they learn about the science behind roller coasters through a series of interactive activities, led by Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s experts.
Attendees will also enjoy the park’s rides for themselves, as they will have an afternoon of fun on Ferrari World’s thrilling attractions, including the world’s fastest roller coaster, Formula Rossa.
Those wanting to attend The Coaster Lab programme must book places in advance. Coaster Lab can also be bought as an add-on to the theme park’s existing school packages for AED35.

In addition to this, Formula Rossa topped our list of the best new roller coasters of the decade. At 149 mph, the ride is 20mph faster than its nearest competitor, the 128 mph Kingda Ka at New Jersey’s Six Flags Great Adventure. The Formula 1-themed train needs 1.4 miles of track just to slow down, also making it one of the longest coasters in the world.
