News
ParadropVR at VR Theme Park Dubai Mall

Frontgrid, an expert in adventure leisure and virtual reality attractions, has announced the first installation of its ParadropVR experience in the Middle East. The immersive VR attraction is now available at Dubai Mall’s VR Theme Park.

ParadropVR is an immersive virtual reality attraction in which users can enjoy the experience of flying a paraglider. The VR game is skill-based and combines self-controlled physical movement with virtual reality content. Visitors can now take part in the experience at the Emaar Entertainment owned VR Theme Park, located in The Dubai Mall. “We’re thrilled to have launched our first ParadropVR installation with Emaar Entertainments in Dubai. The VR Theme Park is a really exciting location and it’s great to see the enthusiasm visitors of all ages have for immersive entertainment,” said Frontgrid CEO Matt Wells.

This new site is the first for Paradrop VR in 2019 and follows several successful installations last year. Visitors can already enjoy the experience at sites such as The Bear Grylls Experience, Denmark’s Universe Science Park and iFLY in Basingstoke. Frontgrid has also announced plans to launch a Paradrop VR City Flyer experience at the King Power Mahanakhon in summer 2019 which will be a world-first. Four more sites around the globe will be announced later in the year.

Frontgrid heading to DEAL 2019

Frontgrid will be at the DEAL Middle East show in Dubai, where they will be inviting visitors to come and try the experience at the VR Theme Park for themselves. Speaking ahead of the event, Wells said, “We’re looking forward to meeting old and new friends at the DEAL Middle East Show, and to showcase our latest installation at VR Theme Park. It’s a great opportunity for visitors to experience the ride for themselves, and to introduce our ground-breaking city flyer concept.”

Frontgrid recently secured a £100K investment from Bathgate Business Finance, which it used to build a ParadropVR unit to exhibit at various trade shows.
