Frontgrid, an expert in adventure leisure and virtual reality attractions, has announced that it has entered into a distributor partnership with Amusement Services International (ASI). This new deal will see ASI becoming the exclusive distributor for PraradropVR in the Middle East, covering Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates; as well as Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco.

ParadropVR is a popular virtual reality flying experience available in 11 countries across the globe. This move will allow Frontgrid to continue growing and to bring the attraction to more audiences.

“We are very much looking forward to working with Prakash Vivekanand and the wider team at ASI,” says CEO of Frontgrid, Matt Wells. “The partnership has come from an original conversation about 2 units which will be installed in Kuwait in 2022. The conversation and relationship has grown from there.

Local knowledge & expertise

As a result of the new partnership, ParadropVR customers will benefit from ASI’s local knowledge, logistics, and installation capability. They will also be able to take advantage of ASI’s post-installation support, as well as its trusted relationships with customers.

This announcement follows the launch of Frontgrid’s operatorless multiplayer ParadropVR Pod, a product that is helping the company to lead the way in competitive socialising.

“AT ASI, we are always looking to add unique products and experiences to our well-curated product line up,” says Prakash Vivekanand, managing director of ASI. “We’re thrilled to partner with Matt Wells and Frontgrid as their exclusive distributor in the Middle Eastern region for Paradrop VR.

“Unlike any other sports-based virtual reality game, ParadropVR offers users a remarkably realistic immersion of a parachuting experience and our expectations in terms of player entertainment, experience, engagement, and interaction. The Paradrop VR installation in Dubai has already proven to be very popular amongst players, generates brilliant revenue, and the competitive skill-based nature of gameplay elicits a high level of repeat play.

“I am certain that we are going to build on this success and realize many more Paradrop VR Installations across the region.”

Meet the team at DEAL 2022

ASI will be responsible for distributing ParadropVR Rize and ParadropVR Pod. In addition to this hardware, Frontgrid can also create custom made VR games in-house, meaning that the team can create bespoke virtual tourism experiences that fly over any location or environment.

Frontgrid will be exhibiting alongside ASI at Dubai Entertainment and Leisure Exhibition (DEAL), which takes at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 28 – 30 March 2022. Wells adds: “If you are interested in ParadropVR – arrange to meet us there!”

Earlier this month, the company also announced its first ParadropVR location in the United Kingdom. Guests at Adventure Parc Snowdonia in North Wales can now experience the virtual reality flying attraction for themselves.
