Garden City Water Park has opened to the public in Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh, according to LYP Group’s president Ly Yong Phat.

The $44 million water park, which was built to international standards, is located in Khan Chroy Changvar, a district approximately 15 kilometres north of Phnom Penh.

According to Khmer Times, the water park is situated inside Garden City, where LYP Group also operates the $10 million Phnom Penh Safari, which opened in March 2018.

The water park features a lagoon with waves, a waterfall, water slides, children’s playground, and steam and sauna facilities.

Garden City Water Park’s other attractions include Wave Paradise, Water Empire, Children’s Paradise, Mekong River, Wave Skiing and Whirlpool Valley.

“There are 38 types of facilities for water equipment with the technology to ensure the quality and safety for our customers,” he added.

“The water park can accommodate up to 7,000 customers per day, but now we are allowing only 3,500 customers per day to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“There will be 280 jobs. However, we are now employing 185 staff during COVID-19.”
