Gateway Implements Galaxy® Ticketing and Access Control at BeWILDerwood, Norfolk

News

Gateway Ticketing Systems, the world leader in admission control and ticketing software for the attraction, amusement, and transportation industries, has announced the implementation of their Galaxy® Product Suite at BeWILDerwood.

BeWILDerwood, an Adventure Park in Norfolk, UK, will welcome their 150, 000 visitors a year with Gateway’s flagship point of sale and admission control solution, Galaxy, offering an improved guest experience and operational efficiency.

BeWILDerwood’s guests now have the option to purchase tickets and annual passes onsite at the venue or online ahead of time using BeWILDerwood’s eGalaxy Web Store.  Gateway’s solutions for annual passes was a key factor in BeWILDerwood’s decision to work with Gateway.

Bob Ottaway (Mr. Bob), Manager-ee Master of Operational Organisational-ness  explains, “Sales for our annual passes have skyrocketed since implementing Galaxy.

“Gateway really understands the importance of an annual pass with a photo on it. It’s crucial to us both operationally and from a visitor-experience perspective. The children visiting the park think it is so cool to have a pass with their picture on it and showing it at the front gate adds an element of fun for them.

For us, it cuts back on potential misuse – parents are now much less likely to hand their pass over to a neighbor who looks nothing like them!”

BeWILDerwood began using Galaxy in February and recently enjoyed their busiest Saturday ever with no problems.  Mr. Bob is pleased with the service from Gateway: “We received fantastic service and support during the set up of the Galaxy system here. The commitment by the GTS UK Team to make sure everything was in line verged on a personal crusade. We knew we were in good hands."

Commenting on working with BeWILDerwood, Operations Director at Gateway Ticketing Systems UK, Ltd, Andy Povey, said, “Working with the team at BeWILDerwood was absolutely fantastic. Entering the wonderful world of Crocklebogs, Twiggles and Boggles was magical and left us with only one problem: what to name the system server? Is it the "magic machine that does sums to help the keeper of the lists" or simply “server”?! And the look on Mr. Bob's face when we presented him with the first BeWILDerwood annual pass with photo ID was so special. We strive to find solutions for business needs that had simply not been possible before partnering with Gateway.”
