Gateway Ticketing Systems, a leading provider of admission control systems, will provide a new purchase and admission solution for Capilano Suspension Bridge Park in Canada.

Gateway Ticketing Systems is pleased to announce that the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park in North Vancouver, Canada, has once again chosen its admission software, after a gap of fourteen years. The park has used software by the company before, but not since 2005.

The Capilano Suspension Bridge is a popular visitor attraction which dates back to 1889. This iconic landmark measures 137 metres (450 feet) long and crosses the Capilano River at a height of 70 metres (230 feet). It welcomes over a million visitors each year.

The bridge is situated in a twenty-seven-acre park that invites visitors to get back to nature, thanks to the Treetops Adventure. This network of seven suspension bridges takes a journey through the evergreens at a height of 33.5 metres (110 feet). The Park is also home to a brand new attraction called the Cliffwalk, a cantilevered walkway along the cliff edge giving views over Capilano Canyon.

In addition to this, visitors can enjoy guided nature tours, the Kids’ Rainforest Explorer Program and the Living Forest Exhibit.

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park was in search of a new ticketing system that would offer a seamless solution with API capabilities. While the Park had previously used Gateway Ticketing Systems, it was not aware of the new features and functions available from the company’s software solutions. After exploring several options, the Park was impressed by Gateway, after the team carried out a detailed site audit and presented its recommendations for improvement.

An enhanced ticketing experience

Gateway will provide the Park with its Galaxy software solution including Ticketing, Admission Control, Membership, Group Sales, Order Entry, Resource Capacity Management, Stored Value and Upsell functionality, and a Web Store to handle these functions online. The Park will also benefit from Reporting Plus, which captures data from customer transactions and creates a range of easy to access reports, enabling operators to make smarter business decisions.

“We are looking forward to providing our visitors with an enhanced ticketing experience,” says Dilraj Saini, Director of IT at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. “Their software solutions will give our business the opportunity to provide a better guest experience for our visitors, especially when they are purchasing their tickets online prior to their visit.”

“We could not be more excited or appreciative to welcome Capilano Suspension Bridge Park back to the Gateway Family after 14 years,” says Peter Wolf, Director of Sales and Marketing at Gateway Ticketing Systems.

“Their commitment to the Guest Experience is impressive and mirrored by our own. I feel our company cultures and the way we do business perfectly align and will lead to a long and loyal relationship. We know our ticketing software will enable the Park to grow and reach their goals.”

The Park intends to implement the system ready for customers to use in April 2020 and could follow this with a second phase, including the addition of self-service kiosks and turnstiles.

At the end of 2019, Gateway Ticketing Systems announced three key personnel changes, demonstrating its commitment to growth as it heads into a new decade. Peter Wolf, an experienced sales and marketing professional, took on the role of Director of Sales and Marketing. In addition to this, Tom Chiarella and Jamie Elswick were promoted within the company.
