George R.R. Martin, Game of Thrones author, has joined Meow Wolf as Chief World Builder.
According to a report in Deadline Martin’s role will be to bring his “unparalleled storytelling skills to the multiverse” of Meow Wolf and to “advise on building narrative and mind-bending ideas” for “ambitious immersive installations.”
The author of the hugely successful fantasy epic is a resident of Santa Fe and was an early investor in the innovative artainment attraction.
Vince Kadlubek, CEO of Meow Wolf says that, “Meow Wolf wouldn’t be what it is today without George’s generous support. He took a chance on us and gave our artists the platform they needed to create the House of Eternal Return. It’s an honor to have him as part of our team and we can’t wait to see what he can help us accomplish as Chief World Builder.”

Martin says, “From the very beginning, the Meow Wolf team captured my curiosity. When Vince first approached me with the idea to buy and renovate a bowling alley, I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, they really sparked my interest and their vision pushed all my buttons — a sci-fi world spanning multiple universes — they delivered something we’ve never seen before. I look forward to continuing to grow the Meow Wolf storyworld for years to come.”
Meow Wolf artainment evolution
Meow Wolf last month raised more than $158 million to expand its footprint across America, with new attractions in Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Washington, DC.
The innovative ‘fun house’ partnered with Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park to create an immersive and interactive shooter ride, called Kaleidoscape.
In February, plans were announced for Meow Wolf Phoenix, a hotel, immersive art exhibition and music venue in the Roosevelt Row Arts District.
