Green 4 Solutions, provider of CRM admissions, food & beverage, retail, membership and marketing solutions, is the technology partner for ticketing and CRM systems at the newly-revamped Bodmin Jail attraction.

Green 4 Solutions is pleased to announce that it has been chosen to provide ticketing and CRM systems for Bodmin Jail, a popular attraction in Cornwall, UK, which is set to reopen this October following a £40 million redevelopment and preservation project.

The new £8.5 million visitor experience includes an immersive ‘Dark Walk’ that brings the history of the old county gaol to life. Visitors can now pre-book online, ahead of the opening on 1st October 2020.

A simple online booking process

Green 4 Solutions, alongside digital partner Semantic, has provided a new online and POS admissions system for the attraction, meaning that visitors can enjoy a streamlined booking journey that minimises queueing and allows the venue to keep a cap on the number of guests, following the coronavirus pandemic and resulting social-distancing guidelines.

Guests will be able to book online for a specific time slot, after which they will receive an eTicket on their own device. They simply scan these at the automated scanners and gates for easy entry. Initially, all tickets must be pre-booked, however, there will also be self-service kiosks provided at a later date once the COVID-19 safety measures are allowed to be lifted.

The attraction also allows customers to pre-purchase gifts from the Jail’s online shop, meaning that they do not have to queue on-site. The new CRM system enables Bodmin Jail to communicate with guests before and after their visit too, giving more information about safety measures as well as the attraction’s history. It even gives them a chance to upgrade to a night in the new Bodmin Jail hotel which opens later this year.

Martin Lyall, CEO of the Bodmin Jail attraction, says: “As the reopening of the jail now accelerates towards us, we are able to establish booking and customer engagement protocols aimed at maximising the customer’s enjoyment. We are very much looking forward to working with Green 4 to turn Bodmin Jail into a world-class attraction and a primary destination for the South West.”

Earlier this year, Green 4 Solutions also worked with the Eden Project, helping them to reopen safely following the pandemic.
