Leading adventure attraction company, Ropes Courses Inc., is installing a 28-foot tall Sky Trail® at the newly renovated HooplasXtreme Family Fun in Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania.
The attraction is part of a major upgrade at the property, formerly known as Bounce Funplex.
The Sky Trail® adventure high ropes course features a 60-foot curved Sky Rail™ zip line to provide plenty of indoor excitement.
HooplasXtreme Family Fun owner, Robert Roles, bought Bounce Funplex earlier this year. The rebranded FEC is slated to open in November, 2017.
“I’ve wanted to purchase a Sky Trail® ropes course for 3-4 years now and Bounce Funplex had the ceiling height to house it,” explained Roles.
“We have nothing like it here in central Pennsylvania. We are upgrading the former space and amenities to bring customers a whole new level of fun – quite literally.”
13 gravity-defying elements and zip line
The Sky Trail® ropes course is set to feature 13 gravity-defying elements such as turbo stirrups, bird swings, a burma bridge, lily pads and much more for participants to traverse. What’s more, they can zip down the Sky Rail™ as many times as they like at 8-10mph. According to Ropes Courses, up to 20 people can play on the attraction at any one time.
The ropes course adds a new dimension to the facility which will also feature activities including trampolines, one hundred arcade games, outdoor miniature golf and bowling, as well as a toddler zone. Roles plans to add laser tag during phase two of renovations in spring next year.
Similar Sky Trail® courses are currently enjoyed at more than 70 family entertainment centres across the United States.
