IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has announced more educational and learning sessions ahead of IAAPA Expo Asia 2019. The programme features a diverse range of talks by industry experts as well as in-depth professional development sessions.
IAAPA Expo Asia 2019 is taking place in Shanghai, China from the 11th to 14th June. Global professionals from the attractions sector will meet to learn from industry experts during the education conference. Over 8,500 attendees from more than 60 countries are expected at the event. It takes place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The conference features over ten general educational sessions dealing with diverse topics such as safety, marketing plans, revenue operations, human resources, visual media technology, data mining and more. Sessions will all be translated into English and Mandarin Chinese.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from respected experts in the field from around the world. They can also receive eight credit hours toward IAAPA Certification, the official mark of professional achievement in the global attractions industry.

In-depth learning and multi-day offerings
Attendees also have the option to take additional in-depth learning programs during the event. The IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers professional development programme takes place from 9th to 11th June. It is aimed at leaders with five or fewer years of experience in attractions management. Over two and a half days, participants will learn from experts, through classroom instruction, case studies and small group presentations. Topics covered will include finance, marketing, leadership, facility operations, safety, and revenue operations. Attendees can earn 16 credit hours toward IAAPA Certification.
The IAAPA Safety Institute programme on the 11th June is a chance for attractions owners and operators to learn about the latest developments and best practices in ride safety standards, loss prevention, risk management, ride design, and safety compliance. Attendees can earn four credit hours toward IAAPA Certification.
General education sessions are included with registration for IAAPA members. Non-members will be charged an additional fee. The IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers and IAAPA Safety Institute educational sessions require a separate fee.
