ITV has announced that ‘I’m a Celebrity… Jungle Challenge’ is opening in Manchester in 2020. It will be a permanent visitor attraction, located within The Lowry Outlet near MediaCityUK.

The 90-minute experience will be a jungle-themed challenge offering tasks and trials inspired by Main Camp, Croc Creek and Snake Rock.

According to the website, I’m a Celebrity… Jungle Challenge will feature jungle ziplines, parachute drops and vertical climbing walls.

Visitors, also known as campmates, will enjoy a jungle specially created for the attraction, where they’ll navigate various obstacles and challenges.

The name of the game is to collect as many stars as possible for a chance to be crowned ‘King or Queen of the Jungle’.

There will be plenty of photo opportunities, including the I’m a Celebrity… Jungle Challenge throne, while a gift shop will sell jungle souvenirs.

Visitors can already buy a ‘Star Pass’ – a discounted voucher – for the attraction. Each Star Pass can be exchanged for one adult or one child ticket as soon as they go on sale in 2020.

The project is part of a larger masterplan and £26 million regeneration of the Lowry Outlet, which will become a leading leisure and retail destination, with a waterslide dining concept also opening in 2020.
