Imagine Leisure announces major project to renovate the Leisurepark Roosendaal

Imagine Leisure, a leading leisure consultant and developer, is working on a new family entertainment centre project, Playdôme Roosendaal in the Netherlands.

Imagine Leisure is pleased to announce that it has been hired to guide a new FEC project, the refurbishment of the Leisurepark Roosendaal. The new indoor entertainment centre is expected to open next year under the name of Playdôme Roosendaal, complete with interactive karting, laser gaming, fun curling, hyperbowling, axe throwing and a restaurant.

The attraction will be themed around the Alps and is the vision of leisure entrepreneur Nicky Broos and his daughter. Broos is the previous owner of Skidôme and Indoor Skydive in Rucphen and Terneuzen. Imagine Leisure will be working on the realisation of the concept.

A major new FEC project

Playdôme Roosendaal has several investors and the refurbishment and expansion project is expected to cost over six million euros. Construction is planned to begin in September as the venue hopes to open in early 2021.

What sets this new FEC apart is a focus on the whole family playing together, from children to grandparents. It will also showcase new technologies and interactive experiences.

For instance, the interactive karting will be the only experience of its kind in Europe, while hyperbowling is only available at two other locations in the country. It will include spaces for exciting group activities such as axe throwing and fun curling.

The Alpine theming will be unified throughout the FEC, with karts going through a wintery forest, fun curling in an igloo and laser gaming above and below the tree line. Refreshments will also echo the theme, with an Alpine restaurant serving cuisine from Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland.

“We are proud to be part of the project team and to contribute to this new development in the Netherlands,” said a company spokesperson. “Nicky Broos is an ambitious and renowned entrepreneur and has an impressive track record. We are sure that this project will also be a great success and we are grateful to be able to participate!”

Imagine Leisure has also executed a successful campaign in order to get the green light for Jumpsquare and JumpXL trampoline parks to reopen following the coronavirus pandemic.
