Leading creator of multimedia content and apps for cultural, leisure and sport attractions, Imagineear has been short-listed in the Sports Business Awards 2018.
The company has been recognised in the category of Best Non-Match (or Game) day use of Venue for its work with Liverpool Football Club’s Anfield Stadium Experience.
Imagineear created and produced a new multimedia guide available in English plus eight other languages as well as British sign language. The guide is played on the robust touchscreen MPti™ device – hardwarer designed and manufactured by Imagineear.
VIPs and groups have had their guided tour of the Stadium enhanced by using the multimedia content and capabilities of Imagineear’s new market leading MultimediaGroupGuide™ platform.
Imagineear’s innovative multimedia tools enable fans to immerse themselves in an exclusive behind-the-scenes view of Anfield, experiencing match day from the point of view of both a player and a fan. Fans can walk through the new tunnel; sit in the manager’s dug out and experience the roar of the crowd in the Kop.
The guide includes a 360º view of the new stand and a street POV fly-through. The popular ‘Shirt-Cam’ allows visitors to access additional video and content about their favourite player by pointing the device’s camera at the appropriate shirt in the Liverpool dressing-room
“We produced the mainstay of the Stadium Experience. It is a flexible tour experience to cater for the multiple visitor types to Liverpool FC and the varying needs of the Club and stadium management,” said Iain George, Imagineear’s Project Director UK & Ireland.

Feedback has been extremely positive with just over 9/10 ratings rating the experience as good to excellent and we have also moved up to number 2 on things to do in Liverpool on TripAdvisor. We see this as a great starting point and plan to develop the experience and broaden the offering in the coming months to be a ‘best in class’ attraction as well as a great stadium tour experience.”
The Sports Business Awards 2018 take place in London on 1st June.
