Imagineear powers multimedia tours for Largest Museum of the Netherlands initiative

Leading creator of multimedia content, Imagineear, has provided its MPti™ devices to the much-publicised Largest Museum of the Netherlands.

Eleven Dutch churches and two synagogues from across the Netherlands have teamed up with the Catharijne Convent Museum to celebrate their collective and often overlooked wealth of fine art.

The provocative name has proved to be a canny marketing ploy. The idea of small institutions banding together to take on heavyweights such as the Rijksmuseum has caught the public imagination.

Imagineear worked in collaboration with renowned Dutch strategic design agency, Fabrique, to provide a multimedia visitor tour for ten of these unsung religious institutions.
Fabrique designed and created the production and Imagineear provided its MPti™ devices to power the tours.

Content is triggered to highlight exceptional stories

The devices also trigger selected content at various sites to highlight exceptional stories, distinctive interiors, fine architecture and remarkable works of art.

The MediaPacker™ is a 2.4“ full-colour player with a numeric keypad, offering venues a cost-effective solution for handheld multimedia operations. The device plays audio, video and images and can also display slideshows, video sync and text. Other benefits include its ability to offer almost limitless language options and stops. Tours can be navigated by number, map or by automated triggering.

“Following on from our long-term partnership at the Van Gogh Museum, we are delighted to work with Fabrique again on another exceptional cultural initiative,” comments Eleonore Heijboer, a Founder of Imagineear and its Creative Director.

Earlier this year, the Van Gogh Museum celebrated one million tours enjoyed by visitors using 750 android tablets supplied and fully maintained by Imagineear. Since developing the new multimedia tours, the museum has reportedly experienced a significant increase in rentals and associated revenue streams. What’s more, visitors have been more engaged and better informed.

Imagineear provides a range of services and solutions including content and app creation, as well as virtual and augumented reality solutions.
