Innovative Leisure, a leading supplier of adventure attractions, delivered 14 new attraction projects for Bourne Leisure’s Haven Holiday Parks in the UK during 2022, between February and August. This follows the successful installation of high ropes and junior ropes courses at four Haven sites between 2018 and 2020.
New attractions rolled out this year include brightly coloured climbing walls (both mobile and static), Sky Tykes junior low ropes courses and multiple Sky Trail high ropes courses. These have brought a series of fun new adventure challenges for visitors of all ages.
Guests enjoy new equipment
Despite challenges such as supply chain issues and unprecedented shipping delays, as well as some of the hottest weather at the outdoor installation sites, the Innovative Leisure team was able to deliver all the projects satisfactorily.
Speaking about the projects, Phil Pickersgill, Innovative Leisure’s managing director, says: “We were very pleased to be involved in so many projects for Haven this year. Judging from the feedback received the new equipment was thoroughly enjoyed by guests this summer as part of their UK coastal staycations.”
There has been an upswing in visitors to UK holiday parks recently, in part escalated by the pandemic and the restrictions around international travel. By adding new attractions to its Haven sites, Bourne Leisure is ideally placed to capitalise on this trend, meaning that it will be able to continue to attract bookings from both new and repeat guests. Plus, in a time of rising energy costs, these attractions require virtually no power to operate, making them an excellent choice for operators.
As well as adding a fun challenge, the ropes courses and climbing attractions also keep guests on the site for longer, therefore increasing secondary spend on things like food and beverage.
Simon Palmer, head of activities and leisure at Haven Holidays, says: “The team at Innovative Leisure worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth delivery of multiple projects across our estate for our summer season. We are very much looking forward to continuing our partnership with Phil and his team.”
