Intercard to bring cashless solutions to Theme Park Expo Vietnam

Intercard, the cashless payment provider, will be attending Theme Park Expo Vietnam when it takes place in Ho Chi Min City, Vietnam, on the 21st – 22nd August.

Intercard is pleased to announce that it will be exhibiting at the upcoming Theme Park Expo Vietnam. The event is expected to cater to more than 3000 trade buyers at the Military Zone 7 Indoor Sports Complex, along with over 50 exhibitors. This includes professionals from the theme park, water park, FEC, zoo, aquarium and museum industries, amongst others.

The theme park and family entertainment industry is experiencing a boom in Vietnam, due to the young population and a growing economy. 60% of the population is under 30 years old, and there is a high demand for operators to move towards cashless technology.

Meet the Intercard team

Attendees at the expo will be able to meet the Intercard team, headed by Asia Pacific sales manager Jerry Heinz. Also present will be Scott Sherrod, CEO of Intercard and Lynda Brotherton, Intercard’s global marketing director.

During the trade show, the company will be showcasing its new iTeller Element. This is a self-service kiosk designed for the route operator and arcades with fewer than 30 games. Visitors will also be able to see demonstrations of the i3 reader and the Edge Mobile App Collection for arcade management.

Intercard has The Edge

The Edge is the amusement industry’s first collection of mobile management tools. “The mobile future is here,” says Heinz, “and The Edge lets operators make the most of it.” This innovative collection brings together iService, the mobile management app, Intercard Upshot, the card management app, and the Inventory app.

iService allows operators and technicians to track and manage every arcade game, even over multiple locations. Games can be put out of service through the app, and it can also be used to track repair history. All information is automatically updated on the server and in the cloud.

Intercard Upshot is a customer-facing app that can be branded by operators. This lets customers add value to multiple game cards through their phone or tablet, without interrupting play to top-up at a kiosk. The Inventory app makes it simple for operators to maintain their merchandise and redemption inventory. They can access inventory logs and adjust inventory through an Android or iOS mobile device, making manual stock management a thing of the past.

Intercard develops all of its hardware and software in-house and has development teams in the Philippines and in St. Louis, Missouri. The team will be at booth #57 at Theme Park Expo Vietnam.

Intercard recently announced that it is working with Bass Pro Shops in the USA to provide cashless solutions for Uncle Buck’s FishBowl and Grill Restaurants.
