Intercard, a world leader in cashless technology for the attraction and amusement industry, has installed its latest systems at Antic’s Land in the United Arab Emirates.

Intercard is pleased to be working with Antic’s Land, the largest indoor theme park in the UAE. The popular venue is located in the Sharjah Mega Mall in Sharjah, a key cultural and entertainment hub for the country, and provides fun for all ages. Intercard has now installed its latest cashless solutions at the theme park’s new VAR Zone.

Antic’s Land features an Arabian Nights theme and covers 75,000 square feet.  Guests can enjoy a wide range of fun attractions, and there is something for the whole family with a roller coaster, monorail, 5D cinema and 7D interactive cinema, as well as an arcade and a selection of VR games.

Leading the way

Intercard Antics Land“Intercard has been leading the way with cashless technology in the Middle East since Encounter Zone, the first FEC in the region, opened in Wafi Mall in Dubai more than 20 years ago,” says Alberto Borrero, Intercard’s senior vice-president international sales. “Since then the industry has boomed and Intercard’s innovations and renowned customer service have made its technology the most-used in the region.”

Intercard also recently announced that its range of cashless solutions will be on show at the Entertainment, Attractions & Gaming (EAG) International Expo 2020, which takes place at London’s ExCel from 14 – 16 January. Its UK distributor, Electrocoin, will be attending the show with a range of Intercard product at its booth.

Last year Intercard launched an innovative new product, the iReader Impulse, at IAAPA Expo in Orlando. This allows operators to collect payment through credit cards for small transactions. During the course of the trade show, the company had many pre-orders for the iReader Impulse and even designed a special cocktail to celebrate the new product.
