Swedish company Interspectral has provided an Inside Explorer table to help visitors explore the human digestive system in a new exhibition at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris.

Recognised as the biggest science museum in Europe, the institution launched the Microbiote exhibition on December 2. Based on the international bestseller, Gut: The Inside Story of Our Body’s Most Underrated Organ by Guila Enders, it encourages visitors to explore the human digestive system.

The 55” (1.4m) Inside Explorer table featured in the exhibition was provided by Interspectral together with its French partner, IMA Solutions. It allows users to explore real medical imaging data in an intuitive way as part of the exhibit ‘Explore our insides’. The content is based on 3D X-ray data, segmented to highlight the vascular, digestive, nervous and lymphatic systems within the human body.

Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie is Interspectral’s first customer for Inside Explorer in France. The Microbiote exhibition continues at the Paris museum until August 2019, before being presented at several venues worldwide.
