Jeremy Railton, Chairman of Entertainment Design Corporation (EDC), was on hand to receive his prestigious THEA Lifetime Achievement Award at the Themed Entertainment Association’s (TEA) annual awards gala.
Launched in 1994, the THEA awards were established to recognise achievement, talent and personal excellence within the themed entertainment industry.
The Buzz Price Award for a Lifetime of Distinguished Achievements recognises industry greats who have made an outstanding contribution to the sector. Past recipients include JRA’s Keith James and Ron Miziker of Miziker Entertainment.
Railton has picked up four Emmys and numerous other awards for his work in theatre, dance, film, TV and live events.
An industry pioneer, he has wowed audiences the world over with ground-breaking spectaculars. These include the 90-ft dancing cranes at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore and the opening and closing ceremonies at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
“I’ve had the great fortune to embrace all genres of entertainment design, but whatever the project, what I’m really doing is crafting a story that I hope will engage people on an emotional level,” explains Railton.
He and his team at EDC continue to deliver ‘WOW’ experiences for clients worldwide.
Past projects include:
- Motiongate and Bollywood Parks Dubai at Dubai Parks & Resorts
- The Fortune Diamond, Galaxy Macau
- Panasonic Pavilion, Universal City Walk at Universal Studios Hollywood
