UK based guest experience company, Katapult, has won the contract to design a Cartoon Network themed attraction in Kuwait.

The company will be working with Turner and leisure entertainment group, Future Kid, on the project.

Occupying 3000 square metres, the new attraction will feature Cartoon Network’s most popular IPs including Ben 10, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball and The Powerpuff Girls.

According to UK-based Katapult, the immersive offering will also include new and exciting experiences ranging from dynamic simulators to physical play challenges.

“We are thrilled to be selected to work alongside Cartoon Network and Future Kid to design and develop the attraction,” states Katapult’s Innovation Director and Co-Founder, Phil Higgins. “We are fully immersed with the brand, well underway and enjoying seeing how the space will be transformed.”

VR review platform allows clients to ‘walk round’ attraction as it develops

Higgins continues: “As part of our design process we have introduced our VR review platform allowing clients to view live design progress – so they can be anywhere in the world but walk around the attraction as it develops – a new innovative way to showcase our vision.”

Katapult won the bid following the renewal of Cartoon Network’s licensing contract with Future Kid to design and develop a themed attraction in Kuwait.

“Our Cartoon Network themed attraction in Kuwait is set to bring some of the most popular IPs to Kuwait,” adds Future Kid’s Deputy CEO, Mr. Khalid Al-Roumi.

“We are delighted to be working with the Katapult team to deliver this project and we are excited to open our doors to the new attraction in 2019.”

This latest contract adds to Katapult’s rapidly expanding portfolio. The news follows the company’s recent appointment by Merlin Entertainments to create event experiences at LEGOLAND Discovery Centres.

Katapult has been tasked with providing development, design and production of event kits for locations across Europe, USA, Canada, Asia and Australia.
