Kimberly Schaefer has joined Two Bit Circus to lead their location-based entertainment and micro-amusement park business.
Schaefer was previously CEO of Great Wolf Lodge where she oversaw the expansion of the company from one cabin to 15 indoor waterpark resorts. She plans to remain on the board.
Two Bit Circus was in the news recently when it raised $15 million to develop a 30,000 sq ft amusement park in Los Angeles. The experimental entertainment company uses technology to create temporary micro-amusement parks and educational installations, including multi-person virtual reality and mixed reality games. They were also behind the STEAM Carnival, which mixes STEM and Art.
Two Bit Circus CEO and Co-founder, Brent Bushnell, says, “Kim has been an advisor to the Company since we first pitched our tent. We could not dream of a better addition to our executive team and lead for our location-based entertainment business. Her impressive range coupled with our roboticists, engineers, and carneys creates a dangerously productive team.”
