Since February 2010 thousands of visitors are impressed by the new attraction of the fun park “Happy Valley” from china’s biggest theme park group. Timely to Chinese New Year one highlight opened: the 4D Dark Ride „Traveling in the Storm“. Kraftwerk Living Technologies from Wels/Austria was responsible for the planning, programming and installation of video and light technology as well as special effects.

In the 4D Dark Ride visitors assume the participation of an expedition, which explores the nature of storms. They cross in wagons, which are equipped with different special effects, different zones and experience the story first hand. 13 Full HD projectors for 3D rear- and front projections as well as an innovative 3D panorama projection with a radian of about 17 meters meet the highest standards. Kraftwerk Living Technologies realized unique special effects like „Slamming Shutters“ and „Gantry arm“ and made the attraction even more realistic. Due to the implementation and programming of further special effects like wind, fog, vibrations etc “Traveling in the Storm” is among the park’s most advanced highlights. The Austrian media specialist used high-quality speakers in the different scenes, which emphasize the story.

Furthermore an overhead control system was implemented, which allows an easy and complete control of the attraction. The US think-tank Falcon’s Treehouse was responsible for the awesome design and accentuates the high-end technology from Kraftwerk Living Technologies.

For Kraftwerk Living Technologies the new 4D Dark Ride “Travelling in the Storm” is one further milestone and guarantees thousands of happy visitors.
