Over the past four decades, Dutch company Lagotronics Projects has undertaken a wide range of work. One thing unites it all: that work has always been about entertaining people.

It all started thanks to founder Carlo Görtjes’ early work as a DJ in the Netherlands. After appearing with the ‘Uncle John Disco Show’, he completed audio and lighting installations for various bars and clubs. Soon a request came for Lagotronics (as the company was then known) to work on a large Dutch TV show. It then began to provide lighting shows worldwide and developed what it called “game technology”.

Pioneering interaction in attractions

This would be a precursor to the kind of interactive technology that is now widespread in the theme park industry. The company continues to invest in new products and technology for parks, FECs, experience centres, museums and other destinations.

Today Lagotronics Projects is very active in the production of interactive, media-based dark rides and attractions. Its portfolio of audiovisual, lighting, show control and one-of-a-kind interactive systems, combined with in-house game development, offers clients a unique package.

GameChanger

One of the company’s most recent innovations is its patented interacive GameChanger attraction. This and Lagotronics Projects’ very first IP – Farm Fair – are meeting growing demand for storytelling and gamification of attractions.

Lagotronics Projects’ diverse projects

Project highlights of the past 40 years include:

  • Big TV shows like Idols
  • Musical productions including Beauty and the Beast and The Three Musketeers
  • Concerts for Christina Aguilera and Bon Jovi
  • Huge dance music events for DJ Tiësto and Tomorrowland
  • The first Farm Fair GameChanger at Bayern-Park in Germany
  • Ghost Hunt dark ride at Lake Compounce amusement park, USA
  • A stunning AV & lighting show at Tekzone FEC in Kuwait.

Lagotronics Projects CEO Mark Beumers is very proud of what the company has achieved. “During the past 40 years we’ve completed many attractions and experiences all over the world,” he says. “The magic for all these unforgettable memories starts with a great team. Our people make the difference. They work with sincere passion, fun and knowledge to realise these great projects.”
