Merlin Entertainments has shared a construction update about Legoland New York, confirming that the team are working hard to create bricktastic fun for 2021.
Legoland New York will be the largest of eight global Legoland Parks. It will be home to 50 rides and attractions across a 500-acre site.
The 250-room hotel and key buildings have now been built and the rides are being installed, including the new Lego Factory Adventure ride.

LEGO Factory Adventure is the world’s first ride experience featuring technology that magically shrinks visitors into Lego Minifigures.

It uses on-ride tracking technology to identify the attributes of riders and maps their position in the virtual space, before transforming them into Lego Minifigures.
The ride takes guests on a thrilling and unpredictable adventure through the Lego Factory with Professor Brick, where they’ll meet various characters.
Additional attractions at Legoland New York include Junior Driving School, Jay’s Gravity Force Trainer, and the LEGO Castle.
The theme park resort will be comprised of eight lands, which include Bricktopia, Lego Ninjago World, Knights’ Kingdom, Lego City, Pirate Shores, and Miniland.
Legoland New York now set to open in 2021
Merlin has confirmed that Miniland Goshen is starting to take shape, including iconic buildings such as Bull Stone House, St Patrick’s Cathedral, and Brooklyn Bridge.
One key attraction at New York’s Miniland will be the 19-foot-tall Empire State Building, made from 97,680 Lego bricks. It also boasts 102 floors and 6,500 Lego brick windows.
Legoland New York Resort previously delayed its opening date until 2021. It was set to welcome guests from July 4, 2020, before the global outbreak of COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the Walloon Government is in negotiations with Merlin for a Legoland theme park in Belgium, while Brick Or Treat has returned to Legoland Windsor Resort this Halloween.
