Legoland Windsor Resort has announced its biggest investment yet as it prepares to open a new land named Lego Mythica: World of Mythical Creatures in spring 2021.

Lego Mythica: World of Mythical Creatures will feature new rides, attractions and experiences, including a never-before-seen UK ride.

Mythical creatures will come to life at the new land, which will be located between Heartlake City and the resort’s Lego-themed hotels.

Lego Mythica: World of Mythical Creatures marks the resort’s single biggest investment and largest expansion since it opened 25 years ago.

New rides, attractions and experiences at Mythica

Legoland Windsor worked in partnership with Kids Industries on Lego Mythica, spending a year discussing and testing ideas and concepts with children aged between 7 and 11.

“What better way to celebrate our 25th birthday than by unveiling a completely unique experience like nothing else we have launched at the resort since we opened,” said Thomas Jellum, divisional director at Legoland Windsor Resort.

“At the heart of Lego Mythica: World of Mythical Creatures will be epic rides, including a UK first, and breath-taking mythical creatures designed to capture children’s imaginations and inspire them to build and play.

“Our new land has been two years in the making and co-created with families to make sure it delivers what children and their parents want from a theme park in 2021. We can’t wait to share more details soon.”

Earlier this month, Merlin Entertainments shared a construction update for Legoland New York, confirming that the team are working hard to create bricktastic fun for 2021.

Legoland New York will be the largest of eight global Legoland Parks. It will be home to 50 rides and attractions across a 500-acre site.

Lego Mythica: World of Mythical Creatures is currently under construction at Legoland Windsor Resort and is set to open in spring 2021.
