Listen Technologies, provider of assistive listening, multi-language audio transmission and live streaming audio solutions, has acquired ExXothermic, Inc.

Listen Technologies Corporation is pleased to announce that it has recently acquired ExXothermic Inc., a leader in high-quality, low-latency Wi-Fi audio technology. The two companies have already been working in partnership for more than two years, and in 2017 Listen Technologies also acquired ExXorthermic’s Audio Everywhere brand and licensed its Wi-Fi technology.

ExXothermic holds many patents for its Wi-Fi streaming technology. It provides Wi-Fi audio channels across the globe, for assistive listening, fitness centres, hospitality and more.

Providing more audio solutions

ExXothermic’s innovative technology is the basis of Listen Technologies’ audio Wi-Fi products, such as Listen EVERYWHERE and Navilution Wi-Fi. Listen Technologies provides solutions that help companies to connect with their clients and visitors, enabling them to deliver clear audio and personalised experiences.

These solutions are in use in a wide variety of venues, from classrooms and places of worship to restaurants, theatres and more.

Following this acquisition, the company will be able to deepen its technology expertise and core competence, thus meeting more of its customers’ needs.

“Listen Technologies’ partnership with ExXothermic over the years and the combination of our two companies today enables us to provide even more Wi-Fi-enabled solutions for customers,” says Russ Gentner, CEO of Listen Technologies.

“As the availability of Wi-Fi and number of smartphone users increase globally, so are applications for our solutions. We have several new products in development that will address these new applications.”

Passion for innovation

ExXothermic Inc. has been innovating since it began in Silicon Valley in 2012. The company’s founder, Dr Lance Glasser, holds over 30 US patents and has also written many in-depth articles. Glasser will now be a member of Listen Technologies’ board of directors, as well as heading-up research for the company.

“Lance shares Listen Technologies’ passion for innovation and our commitment to creating unique solutions that foster engagement,” says Tracy Bathurst, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at Listen Technologies.

“We have enjoyed partnering with Lance and are excited to officially welcome him and the ExXothermic team to Listen Technologies. We look forward to continued collaboration in bringing high-quality, low-latency Wi-Fi solutions to market.”

“Listen Technologies is renowned for creating innovative listening solutions,” said Glasser, now serving as Vice President of Research and Business Development at Listen Technologies.

“ExXothermic, Inc. is delighted to become part of Listen Technologies and combine our intellectual property and expertise. Together, we’ll expand the applications and features of our technology to meet new and growing markets worldwide.”

Listen Technologies is also collaborating with Disney Parks, Experiences and Products in order to develop assistive technology and tour solutions. This project will utilise the Disney MagicALL suite of Disney SyncLink Technologies.
